But even the documentation regarding the working world does not come short. On Sundays and public holidays, craftsmen and artists from the whole state of Salzburg, Upper Austria and Bavaria, are invited to show their know-how in the rebuilt museum yards.
On one hand they present trades that were once scholastic professions and even now still partly so, and that were still organized in guilds over 120 years ago. On the other hand they also display skills that were operated as a house trade (cottage industry) and served just as an additional earning. These additional occupations, like broom and brush binding, basket braiding, making wooden shoes, swings, rakes, shingles and forks, were mostly operated during the winter months and were an improvement to the paltry income.
